Mixer showers
Mixer showers blend hot and cold water from your system. They suit combi boilers and unvented cylinders well, where pressure is good.
Shower cubicles and enclosures
A cubicle includes the tray, enclosure and fittings. We fit these level and sealed so water drains properly.
Pressure and your water system
Gravity-fed systems often give weaker showers. Upgrading to an unvented cylinder or combi boiler can improve pressure significantly, and we can quote for both.
Bathroom refits
If you're refitting the whole bathroom, we can handle all the plumbing, including sinks, toilets and radiators.
Electric, mixer and power showers
An electric shower heats water itself from a cold supply, so it works independently of the boiler. A mixer shower takes hot and cold water from your system and blends them, which works well with combi boilers and unvented cylinders. A power shower includes a pump to boost flow on low-pressure, gravity-fed systems. The right choice depends on your water system, and we'll recommend what will actually perform well in your home.
Improving shower pressure
If your shower has always been weak, a new shower head won't fix it. The limit is usually the water system itself. Options include a mixer shower on a combi boiler, an unvented cylinder for mains-pressure hot water throughout the home, or a pumped system where appropriate. We'll check your pressure and flow and explain the options clearly.
Sealing and waterproofing
Most shower leaks come from poor sealing between the tray, enclosure and walls, or from a tray that isn't properly supported and level. We fit trays level on a solid base, connect waste properly and seal everything carefully, then test for leaks before we finish.
Showers as part of a bathroom refit
When the whole bathroom is being refitted, we can handle all the plumbing: the shower, sinks, toilets, radiators and towel rails. Customers have used us to plumb in bathroom sinks, toilets and radiators at fairly short notice.

Hot water supply for showers
A great shower needs enough hot water behind it. If your household regularly runs out, or the shower goes cold when someone else runs a tap, the answer may be a larger cylinder, an unvented cylinder or a combi boiler matched to your usage. We look at the whole picture, not just the shower itself.

A reliable, easy-to-clean shower is one of the things tenants value most. We replace failing showers and trays in rental properties quickly and neatly, and can often combine the job with other plumbing work in the same visit.
Planning an en-suite
Adding an en-suite means planning water supply, hot water capacity and waste. The shower, basin and toilet need to connect to the existing drainage, and your boiler or cylinder needs to cope with the extra demand. We'll look at the whole plan and tell you honestly whether your current hot water setup will keep up.
