How we design a heating system
Sizing radiators room by room
Each room loses heat differently depending on its size, windows, walls and position. We size radiators to suit each room so it warms up properly without the boiler running harder than it needs to.
Choosing the boiler
The boiler is chosen to match the heating load and your hot water needs, whether that's a combi, system or regular boiler. As approved installers for Worcester Bosch, Vaillant and Alpha, we can offer extended manufacturer warranties.
Controls
Good controls let you heat the rooms you use, when you use them. We fit thermostats, timers and thermostatic radiator valves, and we can set up smart controls such as Hive.
Protecting the system
A clean system lasts longer. Where we connect to existing pipework, we'll advise whether a power flush is needed first to remove sludge that could damage the new boiler.
Hot water
If your home needs stored hot water, we can install a cylinder, including unvented cylinders, which we're G3 qualified to fit.
Upgrading an existing system
Not every home needs a completely new system. Sometimes the best value comes from replacing the boiler, upgrading a few undersized radiators, adding proper controls and power flushing the pipework. We'll look at what you already have and tell you honestly which parts are worth keeping and which are holding the system back.
Heating during a renovation
Renovations are the ideal time to get heating right. With floors up and walls open, pipework can be run neatly and hidden, radiators can go exactly where they work best, and the boiler can be positioned where it suits the new layout. We can take care of all the plumbing and heating through a renovation, so one engineer is responsible for the whole system from start to finish.

Payment and deposits
A deposit is required on installations, with the balance paid on completion. We accept card, bank transfer and cash. Your quote sets out exactly what is included, so there are no surprises when the work is finished.
Hot water as part of the system
Heating and hot water are designed together. If your home suits a combi boiler, hot water comes straight from the mains on demand. If you have several bathrooms, a system boiler with an unvented cylinder may suit better. We're G3 and Water Regulations qualified, so the hot water side of your new system is installed as carefully as the heating.
